The renovation works at Blue Ash Towne Square are complete, ready for summer fun. Find out what’s new
Four years ago, a popular Cincinnati suburbs renovation project began four years ago. Finally prepared for the public.
Blue Ash Market announced a grand opening celebration of the refurbished Tonn Square in a community newsletter Friday.
According to the letter, New Towne Square has a Veterans Memorial with QR codes that help people find memorial bricks, expansive civic lawns, multi-purpose pavilions and stages, promenade seating areas, various play areas, dog parks, toilet facilities, more parking facilities, more parking lots and designated outdoor resets, and also know Dora.
The square is located on the corner of Cooper and Hunter Roads. City officials have previously said the renovation would transform the city-owned property into a “year-round event center for residents and visitors.”
Blue Ash will host weekly concerts in the square every Friday between June 6 and August 15.
Since New York City sought public comment in 2021, residents voted on the initial design concept.
In 2023, the Blue and Gray City Council awarded Alpha Construction a $9.1 million contract.
The ribbon cutting ceremony for the project will be held at 9520 Towne Square Ave. Saturday, May 3, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., the celebration will include yard games, DJs and beer trucks.
