Rory McIlroy, a 35-year-old Irishman, won the championship for the 12th time in the final round on Sunday, followed by two-time U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau, under the age of 10. 2022 and 2024 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler was ranked sixth with five points in the sixth place.
McIlroy made his 17th attempt on Sunday for the green jacket, which would complete a professional grand slam. He barely missed the Masters victory when he finished second in 2022.
