Of the $100 million jewelry, the rare 10-carat blue diamonds total 700-carats

In the ocean of jewelry, a special stone has been stealing the show.

The rare 10-carat Mediterranean blue diamond from South Africa is on display in an exhibition with the rarest diamond in the world worth $100 million.

As reported by the Associated Press, Sotheby’s exhibition showed eight diamonds, totaling in Abu Dhabi (AB) (AP), the United Arab Emirates.

Sotheby’s is expected to auction huge blue stones for about $20 million in May.

Red, yellow, pink and colorless diamonds are also exhibited.

Quig Bruning, head of North American, European and Middle East jewelry at Sotheby’s North American, European and Middle East, said the exhibition’s location was intentional because the country is known for its strong interest in diamonds.

According to the Dubai Multi-Commodity Centre, the UAE will make the title the world’s largest trading hub for rough diamonds in 2021.

“We are very optimistic about the region,” the Associated Press said.

He added: “We are very strongly convinced that this is the merchant and collector of diamonds you have this importance and rarity.”

Sources said the blue diamonds displayed in the exhibition are considered one of the most important blue diamonds ever.

Nearly $23 billion of rough stones were traded in 2021.

In 2023, the UAE recorded over $38 billion in rough and polished diamond trade value.
