“Come on the Kardashian” forgery will lead to arrest of a former California man

A former West Covina resident admitted selling at least $250,000 in fake sports and entertainment memorabilia, including fake photos and autographs of the “Kardashians” star.

Anthony Tremayne, 58, announced this week that it was a charge of telegraph fraud in nearly a decade, as part of a nearly decade-long plan.

Treya, who now lives in Rosarito, Mexico, has sold a fake signature, mainly an athlete from Los Angeles, according to federal prosecutors. Prosecutors said he hired others to make fakes and used images of his accomplices for celebrities to sign for them as examples.

But he also sold music and political signatures, and even sold a fake “Keep Up with the Kardashians” photo that forged signatures from several stars of the show.

Prosecutors said he sold the photos to an undercover FBI agent and was arrested in 2019.

In addition to forged autographs, Tremayne often signs certificates of authenticity with his souvenirs – but those certificates are also forged, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said Tremayne sold at least $250,000 in souvenirs, worth up to $550,000 in false souvenirs to customers.

When sentenced on August 11, he faced a federal prison of up to 20 years.
