Penny will receive the Kennedy Library’s Courage Award for its January 6 action.

Kennedy’s family announced Thursday that former Vice President Mike Pence will receive the John F. Kennedy Award for refusing to continue working with President Donald Trump after losing his 2020 election.

The award recognizes Pence “puts his life and career to the boundaries to ensure the presidential transfer of power on January 6, 2021.”

Trump put pressure on pennies to reject election results from swing countries whose Republican president erroneously claims the vote was damaged by fraud. Pence refused, saying he lacked such authority.

When a group of Trump supporters stormed into the Capitol, some shouted that they wanted to “hang Mike Pence.” Pence was driven away by Secret Service agents, narrowly avoiding confrontation with the thugs.

“Mike Pence has no courage to do the protection of our country and our constitution, giving states the opportunity to prove a set of corrected facts, rather than fraudulent or incorrect facts, they were asked to be asked to prove before,” as the mob moved to twitter in Capitol and Pence, hiding inside his family with his family and inside a building, inside a building, inside a building, inside a building, inside a building, inside a building, inside a Pence hid.

Pence rejected the Secret Service’s advice that he left the Capitol and continued the ritual election certificate for the presidential election victory of Democrat Joe Biden, once cleared.

Two years ago, Pence said Trump’s “rude words harmed my family.”

The profile of the Courage Award is named after a book by Kennedy published in 1957, honoring public officials, who took a principled stand before he became president.

“His decision is an example of President Kennedy’s belief that political courage can change the course of history,” said Jack Schlossberg, daughter and grandson of Caroline Kennedy and JFK, in a statement.

Pence said in a statement that he was “very humble and honored” to receive the award.

“I was inspired by the life and words of President John F. Kennedy since I was a child and I was honored to join the company of many outstanding Americans who have received this recognition in the past,” Pence said.

The award will be presented on May 4 at the Kennedy International Airport Library in Boston.
