USDA’s Woke Boondoggle spends Dei’s crazy taxes while food costs soar

From corporate boards to government agencies, billions of dollars in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) industries have penetrated into every sector of society. In the public sector, it has become a fool, dumping taxpayer funds into products and programs designed to instill Americans under the guise of progress. The recent X post by Secretary Brooke Rollins of the USDA demonstrates this overextend, revealing how the Biden administration politicizes even the most basic agricultural resources (seeds) to turn them into vehicles of dei propaganda.
Rollins recently released an image of the USDA tomato seed packaging with a sentence printed on it: “These seeds are for growth, diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility at USDA.” The seeds are decorative notes cards that say, “If you can do it, please include them in the USDA.”
The DEI SEED initiative appears to be the growth of the president signed by President Joe Biden in 13985 in 13985, which was signed in January 2021, which stipulates the equity action plan for the entire federal agency. Biden’s EO is to encourage workers to seek ways to embed DEI into their institutions. There is no doubt that this is a huge amount of government waste, as Rollins said: “On @USDA, there is no more money from the U.S. taxpayers spent on the DEI program or #Wokeseeds.”

Meanwhile, farmers rely on the USDA to focus on tasks they suffer with other Americans. Although farmers face real challenges, food inflation soared 23.5% between February 2020 and May 2023, and in 2022, the price of fertilizer soared 300% and the USDA shifted resources to ideology, according to data collected by the U.S. Labor Office.

The department’s agenda ranges from projects such as seeds to a propositioned study: “It is also important to recognize that trans men and characters with male gender identity, bisexual and nonbinary people may also have menstruation.” Results? The taxpayer money and publicity was wasted, even for the purpose of growing seeds from the U.S. food supply, penetrated taxpayers.
It’s not just a waste of taxpayers’ money; it’s a betrayal of public trust. During Biden’s tenure, farmers faced supply chain disruptions and regulatory burdens, but the USDA prioritized the DEI program rather than ensuring food supply chains or reducing practical support such as the Traditional Tape Festival.
The absurdity of Dei Seed Pack – some users even question whether it can be used to grow tomatoes – highlights the excessive awakening agenda of the previous government. A 2025 White House directive ended all “Equity Action Plan” and related grants, labeled as “huge public waste” and discriminatory initiatives, with Rollins’ move ending to end spending at the USDA. This policy shift is strengthened by the U.S. First Investment Policy launched in February 2025, redirecting resources to agricultural innovation rather than ideological agenda.

USDA’s DEI seed is the epitome of a bigger problem: the billion-dollar Dei industry has gone beyond, using taxpayer money to drive publicity at the expense of actual governance. Rolling’s approach is balanced and practical. The USDA should focus on food security rather than symbolic gestures like dei seeds. Rollins’ decision to expose waste and assure Americans’ commitment to operating the responsible agricultural sector is a healthy signal that returns to accountability, which will ensure taxpayers’ money supports American farmers, rather than ideological indoctrination.
Waste money has passed the Biden administration’s politicization agenda and sent a strong message to other federal agencies, who also need to closely examine their agencies. This should ensure that common sense and accountability are working together to ensure consistency with the legitimacy of civil rights law and constitutional protection, the split DEI initiative.
