Trump judicial officials demanded a charge against Biden’s Hillary for a confidential document scandal. They remain silent about the signal gate

When Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden face rigorous scrutiny in handling confidential materials, the FBI, now a senior official with the Trump Justice Department, demanded a crime investigation and severe penalties.

Today, however, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and DC Interim U.S. Attorney Ed Martin all refused to publicly criticize senior Trump officials, who used signals to share plans for military attacks in a chat, including a journalist.

The Trump administration denied any confidential information discussed in text messages released by the Atlantic about bomb rebels’ plans in Yemen, but CNN reported that when sent, the information shared in the chat was highly classified.

Bondi, now the country’s top law enforcement official, strongly defended officials participating in the signal chat, including Vice President JD Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and suggested that it is unlikely that a criminal investigation of their actions will be conducted. But previously, Bondi argued that both Clinton and her aide Huma Abedin had to face the charges because an email containing confidential information was found on the computer of her former husband, former Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner.

“It’s about security in our country,” Bondy said in January 2018. “When you have the highest secret security license that Huma Abedin has – you know that when you send these emails against the law, there is no objective law enforcement in the country that doesn’t base it on that.”

Bondi repeatedly identified Clinton’s email investigation as a clear legal issue when he appeared at CNN’s KFILE-reviewed Fox News, saying “we live in a legal country” that Clinton “has endangered our national security.”

Bondy defended officials in a signal chat Thursday, saying the chat included “sensitive information, unclassified.”

“What we should talk about is that it’s a very successful task,” she told reporters. “If you want to talk about confidential information, talk about the confidential documents in the garage of Hillary Clinton’s home, Joe Biden.”

A Justice Department spokesman said Bondy’s public comment last week was “talking to himself.”

Similarly, Patel had previously called for severe sentences for leaking confidential information.

“I think the leak of classified information – I think it’s a federal crime committed by a prison that can be sentenced to a certain decades,” Patel said during a media leak during an investigation into Russian intervention in 2021 in the 2016 election. “It’s a very serious matter. But no one is being prosecuted for leaking confidential information.”

In another interview in September 2024, Patel criticized the decision of special counsel Robert Hur not to accuse Biden of alleged unfortunate confidential documents.

“They got that guy off the hook,” he said, saying Biden found an investigation into confidential documents in his private residence in Delaware. “They just say it’s OK…You’ve established a new legal standard that applies to exempt him and not even accusing him.”

Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and now the second FBI order, also often accuses Democrats and the Biden Administration of having unfortunately confidential information and using encrypted apps to avoid accountability, including application signals.

“This is a danger of justice, and there is no other way to look at it,” Bongino said of the advice of former FBI director James Comey, who did not charge Hillary Clinton’s advice in 2016. “And I worked as a federal agent for my 12 years and a local police officer for my entire life, and before that, I was very familiar with the elements of crime, both familiar with the incident and the approved incident.

“Jim Comey listed yesterday what Mrs. Clinton did for 15 minutes – In the federal system, you can make information in a complaint or indictment. If that was before a judge and a jury, he could convict Mrs. Clinton alone.”

After that, Bongino also targeted ABEDIN and questioned whether former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe used unsafe communications to process confidential information.

“Or Huma knew she was sending confidential emails to Weiner and did it illegally, so she committed a crime. Or, Huma didn’t know that sending confidential emails was a crime and absolutely no business to access the Clinton political machine and insiders in our administration,” He said in a tweet deleted in late 2017.

exist Tweets in February 2018 “Is this the next pair of fallen shoes -> Is Andy McCabe using secure communications to send/receive classified information? Someone should check it out.” McCabe is Bongino’s long-term goal and is part of the FBI’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Patel and Bongino did not publicly criticize officials involved in signal chat. The FBI declined to comment on CNN.

Ed Martin, now acting U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, can also oversee any prosecution officers related to signal chat, has previously made a tough stance on the handling of confidential materials.

“When he took them, he could do nothing,” Martin said on the 2023 radio show, referring to Biden having confidential documents.

Martin wrote in a 2018 tweet that “almost anyone” leaking confidential information would be “jailed.” In 2024, he asked: “Did the Vice President remove the top secrets of the White House and sort the documents and store them in his garage?? If not, it’s not a crime.”

Martin did not publicly comment on whether the signal chat needs to be investigated.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the District of Columbia declined to comment on CNN.
