The AI warning of the “Battlefield Galactica” star calling show makes more sense than ever
Beverly Hills, California – “Battlestar Tricia Helfer believes the show debuted 20 years ago as a prescient warning about artificial intelligence.
“We do warn AI,” Hulfer told Fox News digital numbers this week at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.
She continued, “That was 20 years ago, I recently re-watched it and went, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s more important now.” So, I think we really need to be careful.
“I think we’re a little far from the humanoid Cylon and the humanoid robots, but I don’t know, they’re coming,” Helfer added.

What is artificial intelligence (AI)?
Battlestar Galactica made its debut on the Syfy channel in 2004 and reimagined from the original series in 1978 and followed the battle between humans and Cylons, human-sensing robotic humans created them and launched a nuclear attack that wiped off almost the entire human race.
Helfer plays a Cylon in the series called Siven Number, where he plays a key role in the story as an opponent and an allies.

Regarding AI, the Canadian-born actress said: “It’s not gone, so I think it’s something we have to embrace. But I think one of the things that “Battle of Space Karatica” does is the warning. [is] What we have is regulations and an understanding of the speed and overwhelming level of this technology. ”

“Battlestar Galactica” restarted with Sam Esmail at Sam Esmail (the performer behind “Mr. Robots”, but since then, it has been stopped and shopping elsewhere.

In 2023, Esmail talked with Hollywood Reporter about how the new version of AI perspective will develop from the original version.
“For us, the world is changing so quickly. I mean, when we started to study it, I obviously knew about AI, but now, four to five years later, it’s in public consciousness, now it’s very influential in how we’re going to tell the story.” “The allegorical work also crystallizes in different ways. The focus is the same, it’s the fear of technology and the way it might take over, but only the idea that ‘robots will be our overlord’ is a very simple and over-easy way to look at it.
“It’s using it to leverage our strengths and to enable it to control our little bit of landslide.”
Although Helfer believes humanoid robots are still in the distant future, there are some attempts to create them now.

“I’m working with AI company Holo to create Suzanne AI. It’s very exciting considering being able to interact with Susanna’s twins. ”
Holo.ai CEO Rex Wong said Summers’ robotic replicas were trained in her film and television appearances as well as her books to restore the “essence” of the “three-person” star.
“The robot we’re working on with Realbotix is the first of many versions of Suzanne, but AI Suzanne can access AI Suzanne through calls, chats and text. AI Suzanne can also highlight how we can extend it to the next generation and take it to one range and keep it as a generation, generation or bring it back to loved ones.”

Somers died in 2023 after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.
Hammer told The New York Post that the idea of Summers’ AI-powered robot “is definitely coming from her” and that she might know that her life will be shortened [after a lifelong battle with cancer]. ”
