Shortly after the Prime Minister’s visit, signs of life were discovered – prompting people to carry out enhanced rescue efforts. Officials said she left the scene to avoid sabotage operations.

Although it has been more than 72 hours since the building collapses, rescue efforts are still underway, hoping to find survivors who are still considered alive.

According to officials, an earthquake on Friday (March 28) killed nearly 2,000 people in Myanmar, while at least 18 people were confirmed dead in Thailand and 76 people were still missing under the collapsed buildings.
