If you sleep on your back or belly, the plush mattress won’t serve you. You need some support that provides the right balance of comfort, durability and value. That’s where Dreamcloud Come in. We’ve been following this brand for nearly a decade and we’re just saying there’s been some serious developments.
Originally a single tan mattress option, it has grown into a full lineup of six models, each with a different sleeper berth in mind. DreamCloud mattresses are still the most budget-friendly option, but that doesn’t mean it’s a solution that’s both suitable. In this review, we are looking at what makes DreamCloud stand out, who can benefit the most from it, and whether it remains the biggest contender.
Editor’s Note: The Federal Trade Commission recently sued Dreamcloud’s parent company, saying it was wrongly advertised that its mattresses were made in the United States.

Watch me review the Dreamcloud mattress.
Dreamcloud’s first impression
This bed came to our office with totally free delivery and it was packed in a large box. The unboxing process is simple: we take it out of the box, remove the packaging, and watch the mattress expand rapidly. Initially we noticed that the bed was somewhat deformed, but after staying on our base for one night it fully expanded and took the proper shape.
When we came back in the morning, the bed was ready for testing. This memory bubble feels much less than the older DreamCloud models. Neutral foam in sewing covers and support coils provides faster response times. It’s also more firmer than other Dreamcloud beds we’ve tested in the past.
Dreamcloud mattress hard and feels
How does Dreamcloud mattress feel?
This bed has less memory foam feel than previous versions, but we still describe it as a responsive memory foam touch. Support coils and neutral comfort foam help balance memory foam feel. There is a slight sunk effect, but overall, the DreamCloud Hybrid is more like a neutral hybrid mattress than the traditional memory foam bed.
Other DreamCloud beds have more major memory foam quality. Since DreamCloud memory foam uses support foam instead of coils, it has a relatively memory foam feel. Dreamcloud Premier and Premier Rest beds also have a thicker memory foam layer for comfort, which makes them softer and make the body’s mass.
How firm are Dreamcloud mattresses?
This is probably one of the sturdiest DreamCloud mattresses I’ve ever introduced. On our scale, it is located between a midsize company and the right one. This is best for strict back or stomach sleepers to seek support for stress relief, or for those who just want a stronger bed.
Although hard people are subjective between people, we have a machine on CNET that can pinpoint the objective firmness of the bed. The Smasher 9000 gives this mattress a 7.1 rating, 10 respectively. It’s softer than the bed we feel, but not much – what does the robot know? We are people who actually have to sleep on it.
Dreamcloud Mattress Construction
This is a premium memory foam mixing bed with a relatively simple structure. It is 12 inches thick and consists of the following layers:
1. At the bottom, you have a thin layer of support foam that acts as the foundation for the bed’s main support system. These coils are additionally reinforced along the edges to provide a solid perimeter.
2. Next, there is a dynamic transition layer that serves as a buffer between the support of the bed and the comfort layer. It also has partition support to help you keep your back aligned while you sleep.
3. Above this, you already have the main comfort layer of the bed. In this case, it is about 2 inches of thick sticky memory foam.
4. What makes everything clear is a breathable, cashmere mixed seam lid. Feel good and luxurious, the tufted mound works with the “cloud-like” comfort of the bed.

Sports isolation
Memory foam beds usually do the best in the department, and we would say that DreamCloud mattresses do a great job in isolating sports. If you or your partner is a light sleeper, you will want a bed that doesn’t reverberate a lot of exercise. Fortunately, this bed absorbs a lot of cross-fertilizer movement on both sides. It may not have as much action as dense memory foam mattress Tempur-Pedicbut it may be good for couples with light sleepers.
Edge-to-edge support
Dreamcloud mattresses have great advantages to support. This is mainly due to the rebar coils extending along the edge of the mattress. They definitely help you support you more when you are on the perimeter of your bed. We often observe stronger beds than softer beds because they are more rigid and provide greater support than pressure relief. Sometimes there are more soft beds on the sides than you want – which puts us on the edge.
temperature
The cashmere hybrid stitch cover on Dreamcloud is designed to be breathable and soft. However, compared to beds designed as positively cool, we classified it as a temperature-neutral sleep option. While DreamCloud, and many other brands, claim that it is cool to sleep on beds, many of them are just marketing noise. Dreamcloud beds don’t have an active cooling, but they shouldn’t sleep too hot either.
Durability
Since this is a premium mixing bed with reinforced edges, I say lasts most couples last for a few years. In the long run, hybrid mattresses usually last longer than full foam beds, as support foam can degrade foam faster than coils, especially under heavier people. DreamCloud’s hybrid design should be durable enough to last for seven to ten years for all body types – at least that’s the minimum.
Who is the best Dreamcloud mattress?
Although the bed is designed to handle all body types, its firmness and feel may not be suitable for everyone. This is the one we think this bed is the best for people.
Sleeping position
Remember, this is a more secure hybrid mattress. Since it is so firm, it is best to be a strict back and stomach sleeper or someone who prefers a very strong sleeping surface. (Same goes for the memory foam version of the bed.) If you are a combo sleeper looking for a medium-hard bed, I’ll take you to the Dreamcloud Premier bed. If you are a strict side sleeper and want a lot of stress relief, I would consider Dreamcloud Premier resting instead of flagship Dreamcloud – trust me, you would thank me in the long run.
Body type
As mentioned earlier, this bed is built to handle all body types, including heavier people. If you’re smarter or average-sized, the support of Dreamcloud mattresses may be too much for you. In this case, you can save money by using the memory foam version.

Currently, this is the most affordable mattress the brand offers. For more luxurious hybrid beds, the price is very reasonable. Plus, enjoy discounts on the Queen-sized version, you can expect to pay around $665 right away. In our book, any queen-sized hybrid bed available for less than $1,000 is a great value.
Trial, shipping and warranty
DreamCloud supports this bed with some of the most generous policies found in the online mattress space. Its bed is free to give you in the box and once it arrives you will get a 365 night trial period for risk-free. If you don’t like the schedule, you can return for free. If you decide to keep it, you will get a warranty forever. Just make sure you put the correct foundation into the bed. Otherwise, you may void its warranty.
How does Dreamcloud compare to other mattresses?
Dreamcloud and Saatva Classic
If you are looking for a more luxurious online bed, these are two main options to consider. DreamCloud is the more affordable option between the two, but with the Saatva Classic you will spend a more obvious sense of luxury. With its double-layered protein structure, organic cotton coverings, golden embroidery and the exterior of a luxurious five-star hotel bed, it exudes elegance. Plus, it has three solid options available, and DreamCloud contains only one configuration file. The Saatva Classic also has a more traditional feel. But if you’re looking for a bed with more memory foam feel, it’s worth checking out Dreamcloud on Saatva Classic.
Dreamcloud vs. Nectar Classic Hybrid
Now, let’s compare the two most affordable memory foam beds available online. Both have coils that support the coil, on the firm side, the same price is large. That said, there are still some significant differences between the two. DreamCloud has a distinct memory foam feel compared to the Nectar Classic Hybrid, while the Nectar Classic Hybrid has responsive memory foam quality. The nectar bed also has a flat sleeping surface, while the Dreamcloud has a tufted, stitched lid. Long story short, if you want more memory bubbles, go with Nectar, and if you’re looking for luxury, go with Dreamcloud.
The final judgment
Admittedly, DreamCloud mattresses are a quality bed at its price. If you want a good mixing bed, I’ll look into it and have a slightly firmer quality. If you end up not loving it, you can always rely on the excellent reward strategy it brings.
if:
- You want a supported hybrid mattress
- You want a responsive memory foam mattress
- You like the mattress’s sturdier style
- You want a bed supported by excellent policy
if:
- You are looking for a full foam mattress
- You like the feeling of a neutral or latex foam mattress
- You want more pressure mattresses
This is a beautiful bed. On our scale, it is softer than the right company, making it best for strict back or stomach sleepers. If you are a combination sleeper and prefer a solid sheet, you can also like it. However, if you are a side sleeper, I highly recommend checking out Dreamcloud Premier to rest. It costs more, but it may be worth it for the side sleeper that most side bedrooms seek stress relief.
Dreamcloud and Nectar belong to the same parent company and residential property. Some other brands that belong to the resident umbrella include Awara and Cloverlane.
As a premium hybrid bed, DreamCloud should last you for at least the next seven to ten years, even if it doesn’t change. Due to the longer sustained support of the steel coil, it is generally believed that the mixing bed is longer than the full foam bed. For this reason alone, this bed should last for many years regardless of your size.
Adding a quality mattress topper may be a good choice as it improves the overall comfort of the mattress and provides temperature regulation. Additionally, it acts as a protective layer for the mattress.
