Man accused of killing the son of former Nevada senator asked the woman if she wanted to die for a day and then fired a shot at a North Las Vegas casino: Police

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The man was accused of shooting and threatening to kill the son of a former Nevada senator and asked a woman if she wanted to die a day before the fatal shooting in a North Las Vegas casino, NLVPD said in a Saturday night video briefing.

Police say Aerion Warmsley, 19, faces charges of public murder with deadly weapons and deadly weapons and is expected to face additional charges through the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

North Las Vegas police responded to a report of a family riot Wednesday, March 26, and Walmsley allegedly sent a threatening text to a woman asking if she wanted to die, according to police.

When police arrived, they found Wormsley’s vehicle in the parking lot in front of the women’s apartment. When the officer tried to talk to him, Wormsley drove in the Mercedes sedan with a “unique mark” before the officer could talk to him. Officials recorded the encounter and forwarded the information to detectives.

The son of former Nevada senator shoots and kills at North Las Vegas casino

Police said North Las Vegas police reported at the Aliante Casino and hotel about 4:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27, that a man was shot dead on the casino floor.

When officers arrived, they found that the victim was later identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Na’onche Osborne, 23, of North Las Vegas, died of gunshot wounds.

Police said preliminary information indicated that Wormsley and another man left the scene in a Mercedes sedan with “unique markings” and stolen license plates. Soon after, the car participated in the crashes near Spring Mountain Road and Procyon Street near the Las Vegas Valley Scenery.

Police said the two people ran around from the crash, and Walmsley then approached a woman and stole her gray SUV Mercedes at the gun.

Both men drove into the SUV, but the other left the vehicle before police chased.

Police said over a few hours, Warmsley was involved in a series of “dangerous” crimes in multiple jurisdictions, including additional car theft, high-speed hunting and reckless driving.

With the help of its Air Force department, North Las Vegas police officers were arrested and arrested on the Wardsley vehicle near the Boulder Highway and the Sahara Strip and taken to the North Las Vegas Detention Center.

In 2022, Democratic state Sen. Pat Spearman identified Osborne as his son after being arrested for shooting at her home.

Records say Osborne shot and shot his cousin David Spearman at the home of Pat Spearman in the 2022 incident. According to North Las Vegas police, a shooting occurred on September 1, 2022 at a house involving Osborne until the October incident.

The judge later sentenced Osborne to a county jail for one year and to compensate for the compensation, records say.

“We share the news of Senator Spearman’s death with profound sorrow,” a family spokesperson said in a statement in 8 News. “This is an unimaginable loss for the senators and their families, heartbroken. During this difficult time, the senators and their families grieve and support each other. They express their deep gratitude, pray, pray and condolences for their friends, colleagues and communities.”

Spearman, who served in the Legislature, lost his bid for the mayor of North Las Vegas in 2022. Voters first elected her to the Nevada Senate in 2012. On October 20, 2022, police arrested Osborne, who was 21, and later shot near Elkhorn Road and Depatur Boulevard.
