Rob Lowe received advice on aging from two men in his life, one of whom was Clint Eastwood, as he continued to accept his 60s.
Lowe explained in a conversation with AARP that an unnamed 70-year-old “idol” suggested he “call” as he got older. He decided to “call” in a typical Lowe way.
This mentality caused him to be seriously hurt during the holidays.

Law told the media that he had been surfing in Hawaii during Christmas and fell into his “no business” wave. He split his ribs in the fall, but still no cure.

Even after his injury, Lowe decided to continue living on his motto, another man – Eastwood told him: “Never let the elderly in.”

In August, Lowe talked to Howard Stern about his philosophy about aging on the show.
“I’ve been trying to be the best I can do,” he said in “Howard Stern’s performance.”
“It’s not just physically. People always say, ‘Young and what does all this mean?’ Honestly, I know you know that: It’s an internal job.

“Like, think about what young is: young kids, what are kids? They are curious, they are enthusiastic, they are active, they are interestedingthey did not check. As they get older, they become harder and harder for us. ”
“So you don’t have these qualities, and if your face and 32-inch waist look beautiful, there will be no difference; no one will say you’re young.”
Before his 60th birthday in March 2024, Lowe told The Healthy By The Healthy By The Healthy By Digest what he is most looking forward to in the next decade.

“I remember being 40, I remember being 50, and it felt like it was early to get into 60. OMG. OMG. OMG. Then, as you get closer, I’m glad.
“Every year we are lucky. Many people don’t get it [birthdays]I feel like the best version I have ever had,” Lowe told The Outlet at the time. “I feel at 40 and 50.

Now, Lowe is looking forward to welcoming some grandchildren.

He even took some time to decide what his future grandson would call him.
In an interview with AARP, he advised readers to call out some possible grandfather names in the podcast “literally!

“I may have been too inappropriate for my son’s love life because I was fishing for a grandson. This happened better!” Lowe told AARP.
