Apple is said to be developing an improved health app with built-in AI Doctor
For Apple’s Health app, an AI overhaul may be underway. exist communication, BloombergMark Gurman reports that Apple is using Code Name Project Mulberry to make more comprehensive health applications and plans to integrate AI agents that will “repeat” doctors to some extent and act as personal health coaches. In addition to making lifestyle recommendations based on user health data, the app will also include educational videos from real doctors covering a range of health topics.
Gurman reports that the health app will also put new emphasis on food tracking and may even use the device’s camera to provide a form of correction tips for exercise. The service, informally known as Health+, can be reached using iOS 19.4, and Gurman says it is expected to be released next spring or summer. Meanwhile, data from Apple’s employee doctors are reportedly being used to train AI agents and plans to open a studio near Oakland, California, where they can shoot content. Don’t be surprised if Health+ arrives with the celebrity doctor on board too – according to Gurman, Apple is looking for “primary doctor personality” to become in-person for the service.
