SSI recipients will have April checks on the regular schedule, but the upcoming months will be different

After receiving two supplemental safety income checks in February, beneficiaries will receive April payments at normal times, but the May month brings more payment quirks.

Typically, unless the date lands on a federal holiday or weekend, SSI checks hit the first month of the month. April 1 is Tuesday, so the SSI check will arrive.

About 7.4 million Americans who may be disabled or have limited resources receive monthly SSI benefits payments. About one-third of people who receive SSI also receive social security.

Traditional Social Security payments (for older or retired people) are issued to most recipients throughout Wednesday of the month. So, if your birthday is between the first and the 10th of the month, you will be paid on the second Wednesday of the month; between the 11th and 20th of the Social Security Bureau calendar, you will be paid on the third Wednesday, if you were born after the 20th of the month, you will be paid on the fourth Wednesday of the month, according to the Social Security Bureau calendar.

Recipients who start getting Social Security by May 1997 will be paid in the third month of the month – if they also receive SSI, then that benefit is in the first place.

According to the SSA calendar, in May, SSI recipients will receive two checks: the May SSI payment plan is issued on May 1, and the June SSI payment on May 30 – the payment is due to the June 1 set on June 1 on the weekend.

This means that in June, as in March, SSI beneficiaries will receive payments during that calendar month.

Calendar quirks are played again in August, when SSI recipients will receive two checks – payments on August 1 and payments on August 29 – but no payments are made in September calendar months.

According to the SSA calendar, SSI recipients will also get two checks in October, but there is no check in the November calendar month.
