I don’t know who fell asleep on Amazon’s wheels, but they just released the 2025 MacBook Air, and the M4 chip costs $949. Yes, already. Yes, there is still stock. This trading feels like it should come with a countdown timer and dramatic music.

Apple has just announced the M4 chip and we’ve already enjoyed discounts on our baked MacBooks. This version comes with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage – AKA is anyone who wants a laptop, who won’t give up when you open five apps and opens 28 tabs right away. It is fast, smooth, and annoyingly good at everything.

The design hasn’t changed much compared to last year’s MacBook Air, but I didn’t complain when something looks stylish and has barely weighed. End of midnight? Gorgeous. 13.6-inch liquid retina display? Still can provide a billion colors like you try to show off.

Apple has also upgraded its webcam to a 12MP center stage camera, perfect for video calls you wish to look like you live together. Add three microphones, four speakers, and spatial audio, and you will basically not try to make a podcast.

What really appealed to me is that the M4 chip should make this laptop more efficient and has up to 18 hours of battery life and fully support Apple’s new smart features. I can do it almost once in my current setup without the need for a charger and nap.
