Authorities Looking for a Man Tampering Ankle Monitor, Los Angeles County Reentry Plan

Authorities are looking for two men who tampered with ankle monitors in different incidents and left Los Angeles County’s reentry program, which they will be terminated in prison.
Officials found that Jose Arroyo, 39, disappeared around 5 a.m. Friday when they were warned that he had messed up with the monitor, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
In another incident, they received a similar alert against 26-year-old Deshon R. Daniels.
It is not clear whether the two people live in the same facility. Los Angeles County has three male community reentry program centers.
Both men are serving a second-degree robbery, according to the state corrections department.
Volunteer programs allow those with two years or less to sentence to work in a center to help re-enter the community. According to the state corrections department, the program can help people find jobs and housing, among other things.
