The College Basketball Crown has launched a unique trophy that will be handed over to the champions of the men’s playoffs of 16 teams in Las Vegas next month.
The trophy is the real crown in playoff basketball and the first hardware of this kind. On Friday morning, Golden Crown unveiled at Fox Sports’ “Breakfast Ball” and the game was ready to get off on Monday.

The Royal Unveiling was in the midst of a week in the big news surrounding the tournament.
The competition will include a name, image and similarity (NIL) prize pool that will offer a $300,000 NIL package to the winning schools. The second-place school will receive a $100,000 package, and the two-digit semifinals will earn $50,000 through a vivid seat ambassador program.
“We are working to improve the student-athletes’ experience,” Fox Sports executive vice president Jordan Bazant said Tuesday. “College football has evolved in many ways. The basketball show doesn’t have the experience of a big game. We have 12 NBA teams participating in this game, and if you’re at an event, if you’re at an NCAA Championship or NIT, you won’t be able to send someone to every game.
“For our plan, this is their first game and the first week of 2025-26. It gives you a degree of year or the next step for the plan.”

Arizona, Boise, Butler, Cincinnati, Colorado, Depar, Georgetown, George Washington, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon, Tulane, UCF, UCF, USC, USC, Utah, Villanova, Villanova and Washington State will all compete. The competition will be held at T-Mobile Arena and MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The game begins on Monday and lasts until April 6. The match can be seen on FS1 and finally displayed on FOX.
Fox Sports is also hosting Super 6 competitions for fans to make predictions during the game.
Competitors will have to predict teams and players’ performances, compete with other fans of Fox Sports, and climb the rankings to win the highest awards. First prize includes $3,000. The second place will make the competitor $1,000. The winner of the third place received $500, the winner of the fourth place received $250, the winner of the fifth place received $150, and the winner of the sixth place received $100.
