Trump nominates Georgia Senator Brandon Beach as U.S. Treasurer

President Donald Trump made truth social announcement Wednesday night that Georgia Senator Brandon Beach is the next U.S. treasurer.
The 63-year-old Louisianan was elected Republican Georgia Senator in 2013. He represents District 21, which includes parts of Cherokee and Fulton County.
“Brendon has helped us achieve a huge and historic victory in the Georgia campaign, and has been doing incredible work in the Georgia Senate since 2012. As our next treasurer, Brandon will maintain fiscal responsibility, the value of economic growth, and help unleash the golden age of America,” Trump wrote in the post. “Congratulations to Brandon!”

Beach graduated from Louisiana State University’s Centennial College and Louisiana Frost Business School, received the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Award in 2017 and received the Emerging Leadership Award from GOPAC Inc. in April 2023.
He also serves as president and CEO of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce and President and CEO of the North Fulton Community Improvement District.

Under his leadership, the region invested more than $2 million, bringing $30 million in new infrastructure to the region, according to the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
The community committees he serves include the Regional Business Alliance, the Grady Hospital Visitors Committee, the Metropolitan Met American Heart Association, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Executives Association, Encore Park and the historic Roswell Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The beach currently lives in Alpharetta, Georgia, and shares two children with his wife, Shuntel Paille Beach.
The Georgia Senate Press Office and the Beach did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
