Israel tells Palestinians to evacuate Rafa in newly proposed hostage deal
Israeli officials said on Monday that Israel has proposed an extended armistice in Gaza in exchange for half of the remaining hostages in exchange for half of the remaining hostages.
The latest proposal will be a final agreement to end the Israel-Hamas war, which destroyed a wide range of Gaza and has caused thousands of people to be nearly displaced since it began in October 2023.
The proposal foresees that half of the 24 hostages believed to be alive in Gaza returned, and about half of the 35 people died, nearly 18 months after being caught by Hamas-led gunmen. Israeli officials say the new truce will last between 40 and 50 days.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Israel will increase pressure on Hamas but will continue negotiations in amid “under fire.” He said the ongoing military pressure is the best way to ensure the return of hostages.
Netanyahu also repeated Israel’s demand for Hamas to be disarmed, although Palestinian radical movements rejected such calls, such as the “red line” that will not cross.
Israeli Prime Minister said Hamas leaders will be allowed to leave Gaza under a broader solution, including a proposal from U.S. President Donald Trump to “voluntary immigration” from the narrow zone.

Ramadan Ramadan says households who fasted during Ramadan have struggled with sales dropping and prices soaring after Israel created nearly a month of lockdown on goods entering Gaza.
