Connections: Sports Edition has now stopped using Beta after its debut in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9. This shows that the game has won enough loyal players, namely The Athletic, a subscription-based sports news website owned by The The Times, will continue to be released. It does not show up in the NYT Games app, but now it appears in Athletic’s own app. Or, you can continue to play it online for free.

The theme is to keep moving forward from the player. These four answers are cuts, releases, trades and abandonment.
Green Words in Today’s Connection
The topic is a baseball statistics, abbreviation. These four answers are AB, BB, OPS, etc.

The theme is the famous BOS. These four answers are Bichette, Jackson, Nix and Ryan.

The toughest link: Sports Edition category
Connection: The sports puzzle can be tough, but it really depends on the sports you know best. Everything my husband has to do with Formula 1 and my best friend is a hockey enthusiast and I can answer any questions about the Minnesota team.
That said, it’s hard to choose the toughest connection category, but this is something that I’ve found incredibly encouraging lately.

#2: WNBA MVPS, January 21. Answers: Catchings, Delle Donne, Fowles, and Stewart.
#3: Premier League Nickname, January 17. Answer: Bees, cherries, foxes and hammers.
