Russia accuses of “unfriendly status of planned 2004 Moscow concert hall attacks
MOSCOW (AP) – Russian officials asserted on Saturday that it was planned and organized by a “special services of unfriendly countries” since the Moscow concert hall attacked and killed 145 people.
According to a statement by Svetlana Petrenko, representative of the Russian Commission of Inquiry, the purpose is to “destroy the situation in Russia.”
Although she did not designate an “unfriendly country”, she noted that “six Central Asians” outside of Russia are currently charged with being placed out of absence and being put on the list Russia wants for suspected recruitment and organizing training for four suspected offenders.
The four men, who were identified as Tajikistan citizens in the media, appeared in the Moscow court on terror charges at the end of March last year and showed signs of serious assault. During the hearing, a person seemed to be almost unconscious.
According to Petrenko, 19 people are currently detained in Russia in connection with the attack on the Moscow Crocodile City Hall.
A faction of the ISIS group claims responsibility for the massacre of gunmen shooting, and they are awaiting a performance by a popular rock band before catching the building on fire. But Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, have been claiming that there is no evidence that Ukraine played a role in the attack. Kyiv strongly denies any involvement.
