Former St. Louis sports company Brian McKenna died overnight
Stone. LOUIS – The St. Louis community is mourning the loss of Brian McKenna, a former sports company, was killed in a one-night pedestrian crash early Saturday morning.
McKenna was a former broadcaster for KFNS 590 and is a prominent community member of the St. Louis Hills community. He died at the age of 61.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported that McKenna was fatally attacked at the intersection of Hampton and Nottingham Avenue near Mount St. Louis at about 1 a.m. Saturday.
According to preliminary investigations, a driver was heading south when pedestrians crossed the road and hit Hampton.
McKenna was pronounced dead at the crash site. Police said the driver was still on the scene and was working with investigators.
JB Bommarito, a close friend of the St. Louis community, shared the following tribute at McKenna via Facebook: “Brian is an incredible person who can smile through his face by just seeing him walk into the room. His charitable character is infectious. His positive attitude, resilience, resilience, and his sense of humor, the people who beat cancer know everyone, and he knows him.
Family and friends still remember McKenna as a passion for helping others.
