Zelenskyy expressed doubts about Putin’s desire for peace.
“We are skeptical about trusting Russians,” Zelenskyy said on Tuesday. “Putin has no trust. That’s why I said we need to understand how it works technically so that it depends not only on their desires. That’s it.”
National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said the “technical team” will travel to Saudi Arabia on Monday to try to hammer the conditions of the ceasefire.
“I spoke with Russian counterpart Yuri Uskov today about President Trump’s efforts to end the war in Ukraine. We agree that our technical team will meet in Riyadh in the coming days to focus on implementing and expanding a local ceasefire President Trump seeks help from Russia.”
