Apple released iOS 18.4.1 on April 16, which has been released for more than two weeks iOS 18.4which brings new emojis to everyone. Apple says the latest update fixes important bugs to your iPhone, and the update fixes two security issues that could be exploited in “extremely complex” attacks.

According to Apple’s release notes, iOS 18.4.1 patched two security vulnerabilities. One vulnerability is Apple’s iOS digital audio infrastructure core audio.
“Training audio streams in vicious media files can lead to code execution,” Apple wrote. Code execution can allow third parties to steal your data or crack devices for other evil purposes.
Another vulnerability to the update patch is in RPAC, which Apple uses to prevent memory corruption errors. Apple wrote that malicious actors with arbitrary literacy can bypass this security measure. Memory corruption can damage your system and cause someone to steal or leak your data.
Both of these vulnerabilities may have been used for targeted attacks targeting specific individuals, Apple wrote. Although you may not be the intended target of these attacks, updates should be downloaded now to ensure maximum protection available to you and your data.
Apple also wrote that iOS 18.4.1 solves a rare problem that prevents wireless Carplay connections in some vehicles.
