Washington appears to be the latest state, and despite President Donald Trump’s executive order in February, it is still deciding to allow biological men to participate in women’s and women’s sports for a showdown.

The Washington Interschool Activities Association (WIAA) representative council proposed two amendments to its policies that would only make girls’ sports only for biological women, and may provide an open department if student-athletes are interested.

Washington State’s trans athletes in girls and women’s sports have a showdown.

But WIAA commuter chief Sean Bessette said in a statement to the Seattle Times on Tuesday that the proposals would violate state law.

“The WIAA has been proposed by the Attorney General’s Office, the Office of Civil Rights and the Office of the Director of Public Guidance, proposing amendments ML/HS#7 and ML/HS#8 violate our attorney’s legal comments under current Washington State laws,” Bessette told the document. “The WIAA remains committed to complying with state laws and will not implement these amendments focusing on gender identity participation on August 1 if current state laws are under existing state laws.

“If state laws are to be changed, the WIAA’s executive committee has authorities and needs to change the rules of the association accordingly.”

The proposals will be voted on behalf of the parliament by 53 people, but no changes to the rules will be made. The advice titled ML/HS#7 and ML/HS#8 is only a consultation ticket.

ML/HS #7 proposal is read on the Athletics Organization’s website.

ML/HS #8 read: “Under current state law, there will be no amendment. Athletic programs will be provided for boys, girls and all interested students.”

WIAA said Washington state law requires local educational institutions to allow transgender students to participate in interschool movements that are “most closely aligned with gender identity.”

The Kennevik School Board this week filed a Chapter IX complaint with the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights, the Director of Public Education in Washington State. Complaints include requests for “emergency” federal intervention in states that violate Trump’s orders.

Reykdal had previously claimed that only two genders in the video address in late February were “inaccurate”.

“Biologically speaking, there are only boys, only girls, and that’s inaccurate,” Rekdal said. “There is a continuous. There is a science. Some children are born bisexual. Some children’s hormones and chromosomes do not match their gender at birth.

“Our state law clearly states that children can identify and participate based on the gender they determine. We will comply with that law.”

Reykdal also insisted that Trump has no authority as president to ban transgender athletes in women’s sports, but acknowledges the U.S. Congress.
