Can you see a dog? Puppy-shaped peaks become tourist destinations after virus photos
A visitor posted photos of a striking Chinese landmark, a puppy-shaped mountain is causing a sensation on social media.
Guo Qingshan took photos of the mountain – similar to the head of a dog and the nose in the distance, according to the Associated Press.
The Shanghai-based designer didn’t notice the strange shape of the mountain until after taking the image. On Valentine’s Day, they posted the photos on Chinese social media app Rednote and titled “Puppy Mountain”. According to the AP, the post received a viral response from its followers.
“It’s so magical and cute. I was so excited and happy when I found it.” “The puppy’s posture is like drinking water, or looking at some fish. It seems it’s quietly protecting the river.”

Viral photos cause dog owners to post pictures of their dog faces to compare with the mountainside. Users also posted photos of photos of previously visited landmarks. Qingshan’s virus outpost inspired new tourists to visit the mountain, according to the Associated Press.

Like Qingshan, Yichang resident Shi Tong also believes the mountain looks like a puppy when visiting in 2021.
“After I saw photos of Puppy Mountain online, I tried to find its location. Then I realized I’ve been to this place before,” he told the Associated Press. “I thought it was like a dog at that time, too!”
