British Prime Minister Keir Starmer told Leaders gathered for the summit on Sunday exist Ukrainian War They need to strengthen and continue to support Kiev and encounter a “generational moment” for European security.
“Even if Russia talks about peace, they continue to invade ruthlessly,” Stamer said at the opening ceremony of the conference.

“We need to agree to the action taken by this meeting to bring peace through strength,” he said. “So, let’s start.”
This conference is more important in defending allies who have suffered from war and war. Covered by extraordinary scolding President Trump’s Zelenskyy blows him up at the White House on Friday, expressing ungratefulness to our support for the Russian invasion.
Starmer told CBS news partner BBC that he did not trust Russian President Vladimir Putin but did trust Mr. Trump.
“I believe Donald Trump said lasting peace? The answer is yes,” he said.
Starmer says there is “heavy discussion” that can get security assurances from the United States
“If there is a deal, if there is a fight, then it has to be defended because the worst of all the results is a temporary pause and then Putin comes again,” Starmer said. “This happened in the past and I think it’s a real risk, which is why we have to make sure if there is a deal, it’s a lasting deal, not a temporary pause.”
Starmer listed as three essentials for a successful peace agreement: arming the Ukrainians to place them in a position of strength; including a European factor that ensures safety; and providing “our defender” to prevent Putin from violating his promises.
“That’s the parcel. All three parts need to be in place, and that’s what I’m trying to put it together,” Starmer said.

Starmer hosted the meeting in Lancaster House after convincing Trump to put Ukraine at the negotiating center and tilted his loyalty to Europe last week.
Leaders from Germany, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Canada, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Romania were at the summit. Türkiye’s Foreign Minister, NATO Secretary-General and the President of the European Commission were also present.
The meetings in recent days have provided some hope – until Zelenskyy visited the White House.
Macron visited the Oval Office, who declared his visit a “turning point” and Starmer was seen as a step in the right direction. The meeting was cordial, and Mr. Trump even adopted a softer tone for Ukraine, although he did not promise to provide security assurances for the United States and to maintain peacekeeping forces needed to provide.
Kaja Kallas, the top EU diplomat, told “Face the country with Margaret Brennan“In an interview Friday, the visit to the White House was coordinated with a message that the battle was “wider than Ukraine’s sovereignty.”
“It’s really about freedom in the free world. It’s about the world where international law applies and the world that may not be right,” she said. “It’s obvious that Russia attacked Ukraine. There was an invader and a victim. We need to make sure that Russia doesn’t attack again. To do that, we need to focus. I mean, I mean the political and economic pressure on Russia to stop this war, but it can also help Ukraine defend itself.”
