House Republican Movement Department aims to vote on Trump-supported bills to fund administration

Exclusive – House Republican campaign committee is targeting Congressional Democrats to vote against a measure until Sept. 30-Sep. 30 and avoiding a government shutdown at the end of this week.
The National Republican Congress Committee is launching digital ads against 35 House Democrats who may face challenging or competitive races in mid-2026, when the Republicans aim to defend their fragile majority in the chamber.
Shared Wednesday morning with Fox News, the attractions voted almost entirely on partisan ways for hours, 217-213 to pass a Republican-made bill that cuts non-defense spending by about $13 billion, increases defense spending by about $6 billion, and makes President Donald Trump work harder on how to spend that money.
Thanks to a lot of lobbying by Trump and his allies inside and outside the room, House Republicans do not need a Democrat’s vote to pass the bill.

A Democrat, a moderate Jared Golden, of Maine, who represents the area carried by Trump in the past three presidential elections, voted for Republican measures.
A Republican opposes the bill, and Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, the far right, may be threatened by Trump and his allies when he wants re-election next year.

The NRCC said there is a modest advertising purchase behind the digital attractions.
“House Democrats lost their temper at the expense of the American people, shutting down the government just to get political points. After months of failure, they learned nothing and doubled their embarrassing dysfunction,” said NRCC spokesman Mike Marinella.

Pete Aguilar, chairman of the House Democratic Caucus in California, targeted what he called “partisan” measures and stressed that “we had a strong vote against this bill because it hurts families.”
