Donald Trump buys a $90,000 Tesla

It could refer to the major negative coverage of Musk’s efforts to lead the so-called Ministry of Government Efficiency (DOGE), the president is committed to buying Tesla through truth on Tuesday morning, noting that Musk is “just putting it on the boundaries to help our country and he’s doing a great job! … I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning to show confidence and support for Elon Musk.”
The president turned to the White House’s Cybertruck, claiming the 3.3-ton electric car is the “coolest design”, but given trucks that are obviously rusting easily, its multiple recalls are worse than 91% of all 2024 vehicles in 2024, perhaps President Trump chose the S. Model SS Model SS Model SS.
That is, the president’s choice sadly is that its problems are more than just a series of problems. The model S has so far had 37 NHTSA security recalls in its existence, most recently in January with some technical models that have “computer boards that may be short, resulting in the loss of rearview camera images”, increasing the risk of crashes.
Other Model S recalls also include airbag issues, potential issues with power steering assist, faulty door handles, twisted brake discs, and voluntary recalls for every Tesla vehicle using full autonomous driving capabilities in 2023. According to NHTSA’s documents at the time, these issues include not being able to stop the stop sign correctly; speeding, because the sign cannot be detected, or because the driver sets the car to default faster; and making unexpected lane changes to go straight through the intersection, thus leaving the only lane.
However, it should be noted that car recalls from many brands including Mercedes, General Motors, BMW, Chrysler and Ford have been sensational in recent years due to the increasing complexity of cars made today.
Musk will hope such a thumping presidential approval can reverse the most worrying decline in sales of car brands. Tesla sold 43,650 electric vehicles in February, down nearly 6% from 46,262 sold the same month last year, according to Kelley Blue Book. Globally, sales declines are much worse, with Europe falling more than 75% and falling 65% in Australia in the first two months of the year. The UK is one of the few markets, with Tesla’s sales rising 20% in February, compared with the same period last year.
For some customers who have become part of Tesla’s collective, the shame associated with the brand’s CEO is a publicly nazi-like tribute and endorsement of the German far-right party alternative (AFD), which proves too much and is re-challenging their electric vehicles with rival Marque Inmignias.
