Tapper said Biden’s drop cover-up is “even worse than the Watergate scandal”

CNN host Jake Tapper said in an interview with Piers Morgan on Monday that the cover-up of former President Biden’s decline was “better” than the Watergate scandal during Richard Nixon’s presidency.

“‘Joe Biden is not Richard Nixon, his deteriorating hiding and covering is not Watergate.” I’m not sure I agree with Jack’s conclusion.

Tapper and Axios journalist Alex Thompson released a book, “Original Crime: The Decline of President Biden, the Disastrous Choice of Covering and Run Again”, detailing the cover-up of Biden’s decline and his choice to re-election.

“The next line is, ‘It’s a totally independent scandal’. It’s a scandal. There’s no doubt that it’s even worse than Watergate in some ways. Because Richard Nixon controlled his academy when he didn’t drink, so our idea wasn’t to exaggerate,” Tapper said.

“The only reason we have Watergate there is because we quote Watergate investigator Archibald Cox, a Watergate investigator, to talk about the strength of the presidency and how the president is surrounded by people with vested interests that support the president,” the CNN host added. “So, this is the only reason we quote Watergate is to make it clear that this is not Watergate, it is a totally independent scandal, or worse.”

The Watergate scandal is known as a cover-up by the Nixon administration’s break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters during the 1972 election. The scandal was investigated and eventually led to Nixon’s resignation in 1974.

Morgan agreed that Biden’s decline covers up worse than the Watergate scandal, and then urged Tapper to report on the former president.

Morgan asked Tapper if he felt he owed the American people an apology, “a little concealed the ball.” Morgan also played clips of Tapper’s 2020 interview with Lara Trump, who was working on the Donald Trump campaign at the time, causing some of his past reports of the decline of the former president.

Tapper replied: “I feel I owe the recognition of the American people and I wish I could introduce the story better.” “Knowing what we know now, looking back on this interview, I feel very humbled by it, she [Lara Trump] It’s right, I’m wrong. I didn’t see that at that moment, I thought it was a cognitive decline. ”

Tapper said he will try to do better during the discussion.

The CNN host admitted to feeling “humble” in the face of his past reports, but was still criticized for his books about Biden.

MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski insisted in an interview with Tapper and Thompson earlier this month, introducing live discussions about Biden and related to author allegations covering up.

“No one agrees with me, but we debated it, I mean we do it in real time. There is definitely new information in this book, great reports, but I want to see why you are using words like cover-up that implies crime or something. Is there a crime in crime? Because we are now covering up a government in the office, it’s working on it, it’s in scope, it’s an act that belongs to the law.

“The View” Joy Behar’s free co-host complained on the show that Tapper was “dreaming” books about CNN, asking to know when CNN hosts would write a book about Trump’s decline.
