Velazquez, born in Puerto Rico, added that the fight with Doge is “for the soul of our country.”
Conservatives on social media have blown up Velazquez’s comments on Musk’s immigration status.

Velazquez gathered outside the HUD building with fellow Democrats to protest with the latest protests against Musk’s efforts, which they believe are critical to the daily needs of Americans, and the Trump administration has criticized.
