FedEx plane catches fire at Newark airport after bird strikes

Officials said a bird strike forced FedEx freight planes to land at Newark Liberty International Airport on Saturday morning, temporarily halting traffic.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport, said no injuries.
Authorities said the episode happened around 8 a.m. Operations resumed at the airport at about 9 a.m.
In footage shared on social media, the fire can be seen under the plane. Videos on the plane showed what appeared to be fire when airborne, followed by a flash of smoke.
The episode follows a series of aviation disasters, including an air collision of Army helicopters and a passenger plane that killed 67 people.
This is a developing story.
