German police crack down on people suspected of stealing gangs
On Wednesday, three people attacked a police raid in Germany against a suspected network that was believed to have promoted illegal entry of Chinese nationals into the country.
Prosecutors and police said officials are searching for 40 properties in nine of Germany’s 16 federal states, including Berlin.
The three suspects were detained in northern Schleszishurst-Holstein, where the organization is said to be residency, according to police.
The network is believed to have helped many Chinese nationals enter Germany in exchange for payments.
Authorities said they will provide further information about the operation once the attack is concluded.
Flensburg’s prosecutors first began their investigation in October 2023 on suspicion of commercial and organized smuggling.
According to security sources, the suspect was accused of collecting driver visas for wealthy Chinese nationals by pretending to have some kind of job in Germany. It is said that about 100 people (including family members) have entered Germany under the plan.
Investigators in western North Rhine-Westfaria have been studying for some time, allegedly providing residence permits to Chinese and Omanis, possibly through six figures of bribery of public officials.
In July, investigators revealed that 16 suspects working in local authorities were under investigation.
As part of the investigation, involving 187 suspects, the prosecutor’s office seized the famous Passa brothel in the western city of Korron, which is believed to have been purchased by Chinese investors in 2021.
