A large number of teenagers riding bicycles in Los Angeles, California were brutally attacked, according to police.

The Los Angeles Police Department said in a press release that the incident occurred at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Gathal area.

After the report of the attack, officers responded to the areas of St. Vicente Avenue and Carrillo Racing Area.

Witnesses told police that a debate between the man and about 20 to 30 suspects had erupted, believed to be only 16 to 18 years old.

Several suspects attacked the man’s vehicle before leaving the vehicle to face them. Police said a physical dispute followed, leading to more suspects joining the fight.

Police said a large number of suspects were “immediately at a loss.” Even after he was knocked to the ground, they punched and kicked the man.

Police said the suspect fled the area after witnesses tried to intervene. The bicycle traveling south on the Carrillo car fled.

Medical staff at the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene to participate in the man. He suffered minor visible injuries and refused to be taken to the hospital.

Police are still looking for suspects and seeking help from the public to find the person responsible for the attack.
